Daily Gospel Reflections | Bible Verses

Humility vs Pride | I am being punished not because He doesn’t love me but because I AM A SINNER. I failed Him many times. I lack in so many ways. I am disobedient to His will. I acknowledge people who labeled me as “banal pero makasalanan.” They are absolutely right.
I am sharing His words not because I am holy. I go to church not because I am clean. I am a sinner and I NEED A HEALER. I call upon His Name because I NEED HELP. That’s the truth. And, people need to see the truth.

Gospel | Luke 10:17-24 | “Blessed are the eyes that see what you see. For I say to you, many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, but did not see it, and to hear what you hear, but did not hear it.”

Acceptance and Rejections | 30.09.2021
Today’s Gospel, Luke 10:1-12, narrates how Jesus appointed seventy-two other disciples whom He sent ahead of Him to spread the Good News and to share His peace. Though it was not mentioned, I believe all of them faithfully obeyed His instructions.

How about me? I’ve been so stubborn and disobedient for what God really want me to do. “Lulubog-lilitaw” – meaning, I am not so focused on Him, rather I let my emotion take over me. I’ve always been afraid of rejections. I held myself a prisoner of others opinion and suspicions.

Today, I decided to accept the challenge. God, please fill me with Your presence, wisdom and strength. Bless me so I can be a blessing to others.

The Gospel is also reminding us that, “The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few.” We are being offered to become one of His laborers, will you accept it?
